Reach out & help

I have been so touched this summer as I have seen what good can come from this blogging world. I watched as the blog of our friend, Stephanie Waite, became an amazing phenomenon in the wake of much heartache and grief. After the loss of their baby daughter, Camille, Stephanie's blog became a place that brought others who have suffered similar heartache together. Not only that, but Stephanie's thoughtful posts, full of wisdom and love, have inspired and uplifted many, including myself. I am amazed as I see that she has had almost 300,000 visits to her blog in 2 months. The world is not so big when we are brought together through this medium of blogs. Stephanie and her sister, Lesli, are now using Stephanie's blog to help another family in need, a family they do not know, but have learned about through the blogging world. Just a couple of weeks ago, a beautiful couple from Arizona with four small children were in a tragic plane crash. They survived, but were burned severely and face months (if not years) of recovery. Stephanie and Lesli are hosting a silent auction on Stephanie's blog to benefit the Nielson family. You can see the items for auction HERE. Hurry & check it out because the auction ends tomorrow (Thursday)! You can also read the Nielson's story HERE. You can read even more about their family HERE.

I found some great auctions to support this family on the blog site above. I think this is amazing - there are over 250 blogs and sites that have put up an auction for this family. These are people who never met the Nielsons, but who want to help.

I found a Navy wife in Japan who is auctining some yummy Japanese snacks - I hope I win!

Thanks for sharing this with your readers -
