The months of learning and practice and dance classes are over. The expensive dance recital costumes can now be retired to the dress up bin. Yes, another dance recital has come and gone. Katie and Lacey took to the stage at the Cashman Center Theater, along with hundreds of other dancers, to put on an impressive show for parents, grandparents, friends and family. With 2 dancers of different ages, we have the privilege of going to not just one dance recital, but two. With early check-in times and 2-hour recitals, just about our entire Saturday was spent down by Cashman Center. Ben got to hang out during the day at home with a babysitter & then at Mammy & Poppy's house. He missed the dance recital, but I think that was a good thing for both he & mom and dad.
Lacey's recital was first and she was a stunning ballerina, dancing to "Tiki Tiki Room". With no flash photography allowed, the photos I did take during the recital were not great, but at least we have a record of the big event. In this picture, Lacey is the 6th dancer from the left. At the end of each recital, all the dancers got t-shirts and came on stage for a big finale.
In between Katie & Lacey's recitals we went to Brad's office to eat our Del Taco dinner & to have a place where Katie could change into her recital costume. A door at the back of the office let in some natural light and was a perfect picture spot.
After our dinner break, we headed back to Cashman Center for Katie's evening recital. Here is Katie in action - front & center. She has become an amazing tapper this year. She has definitely found her niche, and I love to watch her go! Her class tapped to "All for One" from High School Musical.

A day of dance - fun. Your girls are gorgeous, and Katie looked sassy up there. Pictures like this make me wish I had a daughter.
Very fun! I completely understand the reasoning behind allowing Ben to stay at home with a sitter/Gma & Gpa! I'm sure you and Brad enjoyed your girls all the better! :)
