We had a wonderful visit with Brad's parents last weekend. We love the spirit they bring when they come to our home, and feel sad when they have to leave. Last weekend was extra special because they got to stay through Sunday and have Sunday dinner with us. You should have seen the beautiful table Madi set for our dinner! I just wish I hadn't forgotten to take out my camera for a few pictures to preserve the memories of our visit together. I managed to take 2 whole pictures the entire weekend - when I saw Ben & Grandma sitting together on the back porch enjoying the sunshine and beautiful day.
Ben discovered a cool new trick that day. He found that he could stand on a bucket with one foot & balance for about 2 seconds before jumping off. When he could great praises from me for this cool new trick, he spent the next hour telling grandma & I to "watch" as he did his new trick over & over & over. Such a clever Ben!
I was glad the weather cooperated so Ken & Judy could have a little desert warmth and sunshine - a much needed break from the constant barrage of snow they have had in Utah this winter. Ken & Brad even got in a little golf on Saturday! Then we went to dinner on Saturday night at Macayos for a little of that "old vegas" nostalgia. We even ran into faces from the past including Jan & Carl Alger (who have since moved to Utah) with their parents & kids to celebrate their daughter Alyssa's 11th birthday. Carl asked Brad if he was still bishop & Brad said yes, for one more day.
With Ken & Judy with us on Sunday, Sunday afternoon was a little more enjoyable than I suspect it would have been had they not been there. We needed them with us and were so glad to have their love & support! How blessed we are to have families!
