Why is the wallpaper on my office computer a larger than life picture of this kid? Why does my daughter write "I love David A." on the back of her hand, and why does she spend her time searching the internet for and then watching Youtube videos of David? Why did this same 12-year-old daughter beg her dad to buy her an "I love David A" t-shirt for $25 & the even bigger question - why did he do it? Why does Madi know all kinds of trivia about a kid that no one had ever heard of 3 months ago? Why did my mom tell her granddaughters that she would accept David as a son-in-law when her granddaughters are only 11 or 12? My mom loves him, that's why. At least she doesn't write "I love David A." on the back of her hand, but she does faithfully watcher American Idol so that she can see "David Archuletta". Yes, he's cute & yes, he can sing quite well. But still - David, David, David. Enough already!
This morning Brad commented that he hoped that David would stay in the competition for a while so that the $25 t-shirt was not a complete waste. I bet he will.

Good post! I have to admit, I have downloaded David A. from iTunes - I'm with ya, Madi.
Ah yes - I forgot to mention iTunes in my post! When I asked Madi how many David A. songs she's downloaded, she asked, "um, counting videos?" Yes. "um, nine."
My question is ... can this kid get out from under his dad's wing long enough to not try to be Josh Groban.... One Josh Groban on the planet is enough! (IMHO)
Me, I like that Irish Girl, Carly Smithson.... and of course, Brooke White. I never have been much for male singers....give me a stong, powerful WOMAN and I love it!!
Really, I can see why Madi loves David he is cute, but he puts me to sleep.
I am so out of it. I thought that cute David was a school mate of Madi's! I really need to get with the times and watch "Idol." (I do like "Dancing with the Stars" but I always forget to watch it too!)
Okay, I'm up WAY past my usual bedtime, but since I thought this cute kid was one of Madi's schoolmates when I first started reading...I just spent fifteen minutes researching and listening. Wow! I've got to join the real world and start watching "Idol." I really want to...I just forget!
Ohhh, sorry Madi. David A. is is cute and all but David Cook is going to win it. I cant believe Brad bought her a shirt, thats cool! Oh, and Larae, glad to see you back in the blogging world!
i cant help but love him. I told my mom i wanted a tribute to david post but i guess this is as good as it is gonna get. i am sorry i am overly obssessed but hey.. you have to admit he is AH-MAZ-IN! BTW.. i now have 10 songs from david including videos and 4 videos of all the american idol stars. my fav is "Seasons of love" when David hits the long high note. anyway. i am supposed to be doing homework right (even if id rater be searching david!) but, i have been doing that from 2:00 to 5:00!!
IF ANYONE can help me meet David A i would luv it. i am gonna keep beliving and maybe my dreams will come true.......... HINT HINT

im with madi david a is gonna win, not david cook... david a is way cuter, and david a deserves to win and david cook isn't as good as a singer as david a.
