Egg Coloring - Serious Business

Every year on the day before Easter, the girls color a dozen or so hardboiled eggs. I colored eggs when I was a kid, and my kids have always colored eggs. It's just part of the Easter season. Then - about 2 weeks after Easter I throw away the colored eggs because no one in my family seems to want to eat up a dozen or so hardboiled eggs. It's just not one of our favorite things to eat. Anyone else have this problem?

Yes - it is serious business . . .

. . . but pretty cool too!

Egg coloring is always so much fun! We have the same problem where our kids LOVE to color eggs, but don't like to eat them...and we colored 2 dozen this year. I gave a dozen to my Mom who loves to eat egg salad sandwiches. :-)

We colored them AND ate them.

Egg salad sandwiches are a big hit at the conks!

As Judy said, we would color and eat them. One of our favorite breakfasts was a chopped hard boiled egg tossed with a well buttered, torn in bits piece of toast. It needs the butter, and a "medium-rare" yolk or it can be too dry.

However today, noone in my family really likes hard boiled eggs except me. What's wrong with the youth of today?

We colored eggs too...Belle was so cute, she said I am so excitin for the Easter bunny! Anyhow, I usually end up eating the eggs....hard boiled eggs are usually not a kid favorite.

Of course the eggs must be colored! My kids all claim to like them but it seems like Lexi is the only one who truly eats them...Luckily, they are not to expensive to buy;)
