My heart is full as I think of my #1 valentine who loves me just like the words on this card! Brad & I always remember each other in a simple way on Valentine's Day. Nothing more than simple is needed. Brad's partner went to buy his wife a Harley for Valentine's Day today. I'm so glad Brad didn't do the same. Just having him home, enjoying dinner with our family is all that matters to me. I love my valentine!
We're hoping you had a day full of love and fun, just like us! The girls each made valentines to give to her classmates at school. Each designed her own, though Lacey had a bit of help from mom.
They took their valentines to school this morning for valentine exchanges and parties. They all had happy days and shared the events of the day with me on the way home from school. Madi had a balloon in her hand from one of her classmates, Lacey had a new storybook to read, and Katie finished up the 3rd day of "Secret Cupids" in her classroom. Last Saturday she bought candy and gifts with her own money to give her secret cupid for the past 3 days. She came home with pringles & pencils from her secret cupid and found out his identity.
In honor of Valentine's Day, we had a "red" dinner tonight. Everything we ate was red (mostly). We had bowtie pasta with red sauce, red leaf lettuce salad (with craisins & strawberries), red fruit salad made with strawberries, raspberries, apples with red skin, and red grapes. My favorite part of the meal was the french bread with red tomato bruschetta. We drank cherry 7up and had pink frosted sugar cookies for dessert. Madi set a beautiful table in our dining room complete with china, chargers, and candles. We decided we had better invite Mammy & Poppy to join us because their plans otherwise were to eat take out food while watching Wheel of Fortune!
