Here you go grandma - Ben in his "Granddaddy Cornell" cowboy hat, just in time for for the NFR.
Grandma Judy & Granddaddy Ken gave Ben this cowboy hat when he was just a newborn little cowboy & now he's more than big enough to wear his hat. I think we need to go to the rodeo - or at least to Woodland where Ben can be a real cowboy!
And speaking of cowboys, Ben doesn't look like much of a cowboy here. In fact, you can see why he is so often mistaken for a girl (even in the most masculine of outfits.) He has a bit of a penchant for lip gloss - definitely not a cowboy! Here are some of the comments I've had lately when I am out in public with Ben -
Besides "How old is SHE?", the most common is - "Oh, look at HER curls!" Everyone loves Ben's curls, whether they think they belong to a baby girl or a baby boy. And then a few weeks ago, we were in Cedar City at Del Taco eating dinner on our way to the cabin for Thanksgiving, and a couple of a guys kept watching us. As we were leaving, one of the guys looked at Brad & said, "wow dude, 4 girls, huh?" Hardly - but, it's OK - we're not offended by the comments - we know Ben's a total little dude - lipstick & all - and that's all that really counts, right?

"Everyone lovves Ben's girls"—I assume this was a Freudian slip instead of "curls". But it just goes to show that curls = girls.
OK Doug - that's what I get for doing blog posts at 11:30 at night! I have fixed my Freudian typo! It is "curls" - not "girls" - and why I had 2 "v"s in "loves" is beyond me!
Did Ben put his lipstick on by himself?
You know that picture will come back to haunt him someday! I can relate-- I too, had a beautiful girl with beautiful curls.It's okay, we all know how manly benny is!

Oh that Ben...he is the cutest thing lipstick and all! He's all boy...I wonder what that would be like?!@?#
Judy - I know you would suspect that one of those big sisters would "lipstick up" Ben, but he did it all by himself! He got into the drawer with my make up & made himself look pretty.
You need to frame one of those cowboy pictures...they are the best....so precious!
