We're back . . .

. . . back to reality, that is! Madi cried great tears of sadness this morning as the reality of school & life hit her. She wanted to be back in Maryland with Tracey, having fun & touring around & spending time alone with mom. I can't say that I blame her!

Madi & I had the best trip! We arrived home last night at 11:00 pm (that's 2:00 am east coast time - so yes, we were tired!) We had a jam-packed schedule for the last 6 days, full of travel, visiting, sight-seeing & eating, of course. Naturally, I have many pictures to share with you & much to tell you about our adventures in Washington DC. I am so thankful for this time that Madi & I had to spend together. The trip was educational, fun, reflective, and thoroughly enjoyable. I can't wait to tell you all about it - after I get my laundry done! (I'm quite sure that is always my excuse).

Wow, what a great thing, I am so jealous I would love to spend some one on one time with Spencer like this! What a great time you all must have had....give us an update on Tracey! How is she? What is she doing? I am so glad that you got to have some good bonding time with Madi. I can't believe our kids are growing up so dang fast! Are you ready for these teenage years?

That is an awesome birthday present! I'm so glad you had a great time. Did you make it to the temple? The D.C. temple is where we traveled to when I was a youth to do baptisms. It is such a beautiful temple!

I look forward to hearing more about your trip.
