My recipe for a great 4th of July - family, friends, food - gotta have watermelon & homemade ice cream, swimming, and fireworks. We had it all! It was a great night!
The only thing missing was Madi - she got to be in Woodland - and we missed having her with us.
FAMILY

my nephew, ryan

lacey & my nieces - isabelle & rose

my niece, lilli, with katie

poppy in his white nylon - not a fashion statement, but a result of knee surgery just 2 days prior (he had hernia surgery about a week prior) - still partying!
FRIENDS

lacey with our friend, taylor - loved the matching swimming suits

jack & morgan streets - don't ask me who is who! their mom & i used to spend 4th of julys together when we were kids & now we are sharing the joy with kids of our own
FOOD

ben & rose were thrilled with the watermelon - i think it felt good on their teeth (or gums with teeth trying to come through - i should say) - i also think it helped them cool off in the 110 degree heat, too
SWIMMING

katie in the new swimming suit she got her dad to buy her earlier in the day. did she need one - NO! lucky girl!

FIREWORKS

lesli hands jack & morgan a sparkler

jared was the official "king of pyrotechnics" this year. here he admires his work with ryan & poppy looking on. he definitely lived up to the role of "king". he was also king of the BBQ and cooked up tasty burgers & dogs for all to enjoy. thanks j- so glad you were there for us!

What a fun fourth! The pictures are all great. Lilli and Katie look like little models in their pictures. I am glad it was a fun night.
Looks like a super fun 4th of July! Your Dad is a trooper to be out and about with all his recent surgeries.
I think you have the perfect recipe for a great 4th of July!
