A little family fun

Make no mistake about it, I am not a bowler, but for the sake of the children - off I went on a family bowling excursion (armed with my camera, of course!). We ventured to the bowling lanes a week ago this past Saturday & had a fabulous time.

This picture of Lacey is my favorite. On her turn, she would roll the ball toward the pins & I swear it took 3 minutes for it to finally reach its destination. Each time, Lacey would wait patiently for the outcome. Madi & Katie took their turns quite seriously, as you can tell by the pictures, and all I can say is, thank heaven for those bumpers! Had it not been for the bumpers, we may have had a whole lot of gutter balls & disappointed girls. I actually bowled better than I ever have, at least at the beginning. I actually got a few strikes & spares. Brad complimented my new-found bowling abilities, and it was as if, in that very moment, I could no longer bowl. As soon as Brad said I was a good bowler, I was jinxed! Well, regardless of our bowling abilities, we accomplished what we set out to do, which was create a little bit of family fun.

This looks fun! I am not a bowler myself so can sympathize with Brad jinxing you. The kids looked like they all thought this was great fun. I really like the shot of Lacey also.

We like to bowl, too. My husband takes it all too seriously, as if every game were the Stanley Cup of bowling, but the rest of us just have fun and enjoy the picking on dad part of bowling....

I loved your pictures so much. The one of Ben is so adorable I had to "supersize" it and look closer. He is such a doll. I sure missed you at Pine Valley, LaRae. Hope we can scrapbook together again this summer...
