My dad, brothers, & Brad put on a delicious Mother's Day spread for their wives this past Sunday. Brad called it a "guy" meal, probably because it was "meat & potatoes". I would be happy with such a guy meal every week! My dad made a prime rib & it was oh so good! What a treat & the house smelled so wonderful! Mike made yummy twice-baked potatoes, Jared made the salad, and Brad was in charge of the rolls. Jared & Phillip also got Marie Callendars pies & I think Phillip was in charge of the veggies - carrots & asparagus. Everything was fabulous & none of the moms had to cook - what a great gift! The guys sweetened the meal even more by doing all the dishes! Yes - it is true. For those of you who find this hard to believe . . . I even took pictures to prove it! Here's all 3 of my brothers, Phillip, Mike & Jared, hard at work, doing dishes. Where were Dad & Brad? Hard to say . . .
Here Jared is fully engrossed in loading the dishwasher
I really wasn't kidding about a weeks worth of posts on mom's day - there's more to come. I still have to tell you about the sweetest tradition at our school called Mother's Day Tea. Stay tuned . . .

thats news to me... too bad mothers day is only once a year.
I have to admit I am having shock over the dishes thing! Wow! That is exciting... I guess Dad and Brad were probably wiping down the counters or something:) The dinner sounds delicious!
Wow, I am so jealous...I made tacos, and then I had to do the dishes too...sigh....
ps....I KNOW where Brad and dad were...somewhere they could sleep! ha
