dirty little hands & feet

OK - I admit it! I take way too many pictures of this kid! I can't help it. He is just so cute I can't stand it - don't you just want to eat him up? [As a side note, I just can't believe it took me this long to join the realm of digital photography. What took me so long? Stubbornness I guess. Now I can't get enough. Pair the photography with blogging & I may never leave my computer.]

Ben has a new found love of the outdoors. He is starting early, I know. Yesterday we hung out in the front yard for about 30 minutes, & he screamed when I took him inside. I ended up sending him to the backyard to wander around a bit because he was so disgruntled about coming inside. I am considering this incident to be "one of those many differences between boys & girls that I am discovering." My girls never wanted to go in the backyard alone - monsters & scary stuff, you know. Today we went out again when we got home from picking the girls up from school. After 15 minutes of crawling around the driveway on his hands & knees, he was filthy, and in heaven. He loves the rocks & he digs in them. Today he thought they might be good to eat. I told him to reconsider. He ignored me. Once he figured out that I didn't want him to eat the rocks, he tried all the more. It became a great game. He thought it was really funny. Why do our kids start trying to push our buttons at such a very young age? - or maybe that's just my kids! We had a fun afternoon just sitting in the front yard & hanging out with the neighborhood kids. I am quite sure that Ben just considers himself "one of the gang." He wore himself out playing. We came inside, took a bath, had dinner, & Ben was more than ready to go to bed before 7:00. Night Night buddy B.

LaRae - Not only do you have some really cute kids, you have a great camera! What kind do you have? I'm in desperate need of a new one!

I love those dirty feet pictures - so cute! When Zac was little, I would find dead rollie-pollies in his pants pockets when I did laundry. He loved being outside like Ben does, and he'd bring the outside in. Sticks, too. There were always sticks and branches in his room.

I do think boys love to be outside more, my Zach is the same way! I love the photos you share. Keep 'em coming :-)

That was quite a school auction you went to! The panda painting is adorable.

LaRae I don't think we could see enough pics of the kids...those are my favorite entries. Little Ben is just so dang cute you just want to sqeeze him! Yes, boys and girls are very different! They could spend day and night outside!

What a cute, fun, dirty, boy! He really is just extra cute :) I don't know about the outside thing though, I have a couple of girls who would live outside if I would let them!

The school auction sounded really fun. I am glad you got home with something seeing the prices of some of the other things! What a great amount of money earned for the school!

Just wait until ben smells like a puppy dog, that what i call it at least. Its really cute and a little gross at the same time. I love when Ry comes in all red cheeked and tired. He loves to dig and rip the rose petals off the bushes, and thats in my tiny backyard, i can only image what benny can accomplish in yours. By the way, Ryan sang "happy birthday to benny" the entire way from Cedar to your parents cabin. So cute, yet so annoying... funny how that works

I love boys --- Ben looks so calm and deep in thought in one of the photos that I had to wonder what he must be thinking at that very moment when you snapped the picture.
