I never knew baby boys were really all that different from baby girls, except for the obvious! I've only had baby girls, three of them, in fact. Then, almost 11 months ago I had a baby boy. At first he really wasn't all that different from his sisters when they were his age. He slept a lot & cried some. He nursed and needed his diaper changed, just like his three sisters. But now, guess what, he's turning into a totally different creature. Now he's pushing one, and now I know that baby boys are very different from baby girls. There's no mistake about it, baby boys are interested in totally different things than baby girls. My baby boy, Ben, at 11 months old, notices things that his sisters never noticed at his age. He has observed a plane flying through the sky. He is interested in the copy machine, fax machine, and other mechanical devices. He makes growling sounds. He makes growling sounds while playing with his little baby cars. He pounds a baby hammer. When my girls were one, they hugged baby dolls & stuffed animals, and they didn't pound hammers & make growling noises! The girls still don't care if there's a plane in the sky. So who taught Ben to be a boy? I sure didn't, and I am around him more than anyone else in the family! He truly is wired differently - he just came this way, and I am glad!
