Proof

Not long ago I posted about my Little Angel. (That would be Ben if you didn't get to read the post). Since then, I have collected a few pictures just to paint a clear picture of the angelic things he is capable of doing. Ben knows what is allowed & what is not allowed. If he decides to do something that is not allowed, he will say "no, no, no" before doing the deed, or he tries to hide or gets very quiet. Yes - beware the quiet toddler! Just yesterday he was being particularly quiet & when I found him, he was hiding on the floor in a corner of the playroom with an orange marker, writing on his jeans. Honestly, it is next to impossible to keep writing utensils out of the hands of a one-year-old with 3 older sisters. I feel like I am taking away a marker, a pencil, a pen, a sharpie (yikes!) every time I turn around. When Ben is feeling particularly obedient, he will pick up any of the above-mentioned writing utensils, and hand it to me while saying "thank you" - since that is what I say every time I take something away from him that he is not supposed to have.

Anyway - if you haven't had a toddler in a while, you can have a good laugh - if you have one now or one approaching this stage, you're undoubtedly experiencing this or worse!

These are my glasses. Ben kindly broke off one side of the glasses & I wore then like that for about a month or so. He then decided to finish the job by breaking the other side. He took my glasses to Brad to show him his great work. I didn't know what was happening, but I heard Brad say to him, "OK, this isn't funny anymore." (while chuckling under his breath). No, this isn't funny anymore!

Madi bought herself a cute little ceramic piggy bank from the dollar section at Target. She filled it with coins & for some reason left it on the floor outside her bedroom door. Ben was upstairs by Madi's bedroom, saw the piggy bank, and must have thought it looked like something that needed throwing (or simply dropping). He dropped it through the railing upstairs to watch it explode into many tiny pieces on the entry floor down below.

Emptying cabinets in the kitchen - a particularly favorite pastime. It's quick, it's easy & convenient! There's always a cabinet just sitting around waiting to be emptied!

Opening the door to the garage - especially enjoyable while wearing mommy's shoes!

Proud Ben next to his artwork on the kitchen floor - certainly a masterpiece worth preserving in a picture. The next picture shows a closeup of the artwork. Yes, I am thankful he chose a pencil for his artwork rather than a sharpie marker, crayon, or other more permanent medium! (like the one-sock-on one-sock-off fashion statement?)

He just gets cuter and cuter! Your Ben documentaries are really great. I feel bad for Maddi's piggy bank. Where do you get your energy to keep up with four kids?

holy cow ben. good thing there is only one of you and not two at this stage eh? larae you need to have ben push you up the hill on your morning walks so it wears him out instead of you pushing him on his morning joyride. hehe. all boy. glad to see it in your household and know that it is not just mine.

Looks like he is trouble with a capital T! Good thing he's so cute. Im glad we are out of that stage with ry, he's usually pretty good. Hopefully girl toddlers arent as naughty as boy toddlers???

The toddler antics...when do they end? Sorry Katie, girls are just as naughty! It's a good thing they are all so cute! I think they were made that way on purpose for sure:) I love the picture of Ben in your shoes. It looks like it gives him just the right height to reach the door knob...too cute!

look at those little flintstone feet!!! Oh he is so cute. The stories just keep getting better and better don't they! I have successfully kept my glasses away from Rose up till now, and if she breaks them I will die because they were 300.00$

One story that might make you feel better is the other night I literally
put Rose back in her crib to sleep 30 times!!!! Lots of fun!
