For all of you with blogs on blogger - this is what they say about uploading images to your blog:
Images and photos that are uploaded through Blogger get stored in your Picasa Web Albums, which are part of your Google Account. The number of images you can upload is therefore dependent on the amount of space you are using on Picasa Web Albums. To find out how much space you have available, please see these instructions.
If you would like to purchase more storage space, the Picasa Web Albums help center can tell you how.
So - Picasa gives you 1GB of free storage. They say that should handle 4000 standard resolution photos. Obviously my photos are not standard resolution because I only have 500 photos & I have no more space in my Picasa Web Album!
For $20/yr I can get 10GB of storage, so I guess that's what I'm gonna do! I just don't think a blog post is the same without a picture! Anyway, that will be more space than I need & I will get charged every year automatically unless I cancel my "subscription" for extra storage. Now, I used 1GB of storage in a little less than 1 year, and it is going to probably take about 8 years to use 10GB of storage. So, I hope I remember to cancel my subscription a year from now.
When I started my blog, I remember that blogger claimed I could post as many pictures as I wanted. I guess that has apparently changed since last February, when Picasa came into the picture. NICE!

When Janae uploads her pictures, she resizes them to something relatively small, like 800 x 600. That allows you to have about 10x as many pictures as you could using "full resolution" 5 megapixel pictures, but they are pretty good size for on-screen viewing.
